Theta Xi Fraternity - Beta Zeta Chapter, Auburn University

Chapter Advisor

The Beta Zeta Chapter of Theta Xi makes alumni available for mentoring of undergraduates: to help them channel their leadership, scholastic, and extracurricular ambitions – and to help prepare them for life after college.

The chapter is fortunate to have James M. Locke as their chapter advisor.  James is an both an Auburn and a Harvard graduate, and has had a long and successful career as a high-technology entrepreneur.

While at Auburn as an undergraduate, James pledged Theta Xi but had to leave the University for personal reasons before he was initiated.  James later returned to Auburn to complete his degree, and eventually to become a brother of Theta Xi.  James was initiated into the Beta Zeta Chapter of Theta Xi on November 19th, 2011.  James was confirmed as Chapter Advisor on February 1, 2012.

More about James: James M. Locke is the managing partner of LDT Corporation, a technology transfer firm that is focused on commercializing technologies developed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He is originally from Montgomery, Alabama, and resides there now with his wife, Diane. He has two sons of college age; one is at Auburn studying economics and the other at UAB majoring in art. James was educated at Auburn University (economics) and the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
